A functional doorstep skiing resort

Flaine is the altitude resort within Le Grand Massif area, one of the largest ski areas in France. Snow heights and the quality of its slopes draws tens of thousands of skiers a year. Its location also makes it an ideal place for short-ski breaks.

For the modern skier

The resort centre is set aside for pedestrians. All of the services, shops, accommodation and ski runs are never more than a few steps away so both young and old can get around the resort without a care in the world. Even though created in the sixties, it offers all possible benefits to the modern skier:

• Pedestrian centre with links between the different levels of the resort.
• Cable car and gondola lift stations on the same level as the ski runs.
• Technical tunnel network : not a single electric cable is visible from the exterior;
• A non-polluting gas heating plant (the first one in the mountains).
   

Development and future plans

After several years of consideration, Flaine’s global development plan is underway.

It encompasses a huge 4 500-bed project, as well as ambitious public and private amenities programmes (car parks, seasonal accommodation …).

The variety and quality of the projects will satisfy the demands of a modern clientele, whilst strengthening Flaine’s position amongst the large French and International ski resorts.

Following the building works of the new water purification plant, which finished in 2007, the plans and specifications for the first residences are available and the apartments are already for sale.
 

More futur projects
