It is close to major airports (Geneva, Annecy, Lyon), train stations (Cluses, Annecy, Annemasse) and the A 40 motorway (Cluses).
Flaine is the highest resort in the Grand Massif ski area. It is surrounded in the North by Les Portes du Soleil, in the East by the Aravis, and in the south by the Mont Blanc region. .
