The Flaine - Les Carroz golf course, at 1 hour from Geneva, Annecy and Chamonix and 2 hours from Lyon, lies at the heart of the Alps in Haute Savoie and is situated at the Col de Pierre Carrée between Les Carroz and Flaine.
The golf course is an 18 holes course, open from June to September, where you can swing from the summit in full view of a breath-taking panoramic view of some of the most spectacular mountain ranges.
Situated at an altitude between 1,833 m (6 014 ft) and 1,953m (6 407 ft), the Flaine - Les Carroz golf course is one of the highest in Europe. In summer, temperatures range between 20°C and 25°C, ideal conditions for playing whilst enjoying the display provided by the magnificent surrounding countryside at the same time.
This Par 63 course designed by Robert Berthet is not very long (3 555m/11 663 ft) albeit fairly steep and is suitable for all abilities; electric carts are allowed.
Several holes are worthy of note: the 7th with its tee on high ground and a green affording a magnificent view of the Arve valley below; that is before having a go at… the 16th hole, the signature hole of the course, a Par 3, 188m long with a 70m drop to the green below!
