Itinerary
A40 Motorway Geneva-Chamonix, exit 19 Cluses centre. Turn right onto the N205, towards Sallanches and leave the N205 after about 2 km (1.2 miles) at the left turning signposted Flaine, on the D106. This takes you to Flaine via Les Carroz d'Arâches!

Traffic & road information
Local maintenance services try to maintain traffic as fluid as possible, and clear snow after or during snow showers. The road is however not always completely dry! You can obtain information through following services :

Some advice
It is recommended to use snow tires, at any time of the season. If you don’t wish to, we recommend carrying snow chains at all times when travelling in the area. Even when the road is clear when you arrive, it may snow before you drive back! You will find the last opportunity to put on chains at Les Molliets car park, approximately 5 km after the village of Les Carroz. Do not hesitate to put on chains when snow is on the road.
Petrol stations: the closest petrol station is at Cluses (30 km from Flaine, just after the motorway exit). Don’t forget to fill up before you drive up to Flaine if you’re running low!
Car parking in resort
With your comfort, safety and respect for the environment in mind, the pedestrian resort of Flaine has organized car parking facilities for you. You are allowed to enter the resort for loading and unloading luggage (1h30 max). Paying and free car parks are available for your use at the entrance to the resort.
