To mark European Heritage Days, Flaine invites you to (re)discover its 20th-century architecture. For its very first participation in the event, the resort aligns with the 2026 theme, “Heritage of Photography”: come and discover Myr Muratet’s “Flaine” photo exhibition, take the Flaine guided heritage tour, and explore the “Images Vivantes” interactive exhibition designed for childrens.

Through this interactive exhibition—where touching everything is allowed and highly recommended—children are invited to explore, observe optical effects, and let themselves be carried away by the magic of transformations and colors.
For 1 hour, children explore 8 installations created by artist Yaacov Agam. As they move around, paint on a giant keyboard, or play with sounds, they shift lines and colors to awaken their visual sensibility.

Discover Flaine, a resort designed by architect Marcel Breuer in the late 1960s. From the project’s inception to its architectural and urban design choices, this tour invites you to understand what makes Flaine a unique piece of modern heritage. Along the way, you will also discover the spectacular artworks (Picasso, Dubuffet, Vasarely, etc.) that dot the resort and play a key role in its identity. A tour to see Flaine in a new light, bridging architecture, art, and landscape.

This exhibition offers a dual perspective on the resort of Flaine, featuring contemporary photographs by Myr Muratet that capture all the poetry of its modernist architecture, alongside a chronological tour retracing the site’s journey from 1954 to the present day. From the earliest sketches to recent developments, precious archival documents reveal the key stages of this extraordinary project. Produced by the CAUE de Haute-Savoie, this exhibition was originally presented at L’Îlot-S in Annecy in 2023.
The Flaine resort will be completely closed this weekend: all shops, restaurants, and accommodation will be closed. Only the Art Center will open its doors for the event.
