This awareness session invites you to discover the essential role of livestock guardian dogs and to adopt the right reflexes when hiking. You will learn more about the challenges of mountain farming, the importance of preserving natural areas, and how to react when encountering a livestock guardian dog during your walks.

Through discussions and practical advice, this activity will help you better understand these dogs and promote peaceful coexistence.

How to find us

The activity will take place near the arrival station of the Grandes Platières gondola lift, at the Désert de Platé site. To access the gondola lift, head to the end of Flaine Forum, near the City Park.

It is also possible to reach the Désert de Platé via hiking trails directly from Flaine Forum.

The Grandes Platières gondola lift is directly accessible from car park P2; allow approximately 10 to 15 minutes on foot. However, if you are coming for the day, it is recommended to park at car park P1, which is specifically designated for this purpose.
