Nestled in the heart of the Vernant valley, this lake is a hillside reservoir offering a stunning view of the Aravis mountains. From its shores, you can admire the Pointe Percée up close.

With a depth of 9 m and a surface area of 3 ha, the lake is an ideal fishing spot for families. The fish density, their catchability, and the surrounding mountain scenery make it a very pleasant place to fish, with a difficulty level ranging from moderate to challenging. Early mornings and late evenings can be particularly productive during the summer months.

In summer, during school holidays, free shuttles are available directly from the resorts of Flaine or Les Carroz. Simply ask the driver to drop you off at the “Vernant” stop.

From the parking lot, it is then a 25-minute walk, with an elevation gain of 84 m, to reach the lake.
