This dynamism around art was initiated by Sylvie Boissonnas, who, along with her husband, believed that “the art center is both the heart and the crown of Flaine.” The Boissonnas couple are the creators of the SCALER foundation (Science, Culture, Art, Literature, Education, and Religion). This foundation is responsible for many donations of artworks to the station. The gallery also houses a lending library, a member of the “Altitudes” network, a contemporary art network in the Alpine region.
