“La Manivelle” is a fully handcrafted carousel inspired by the sea. Influenced by Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, children are invited to ride a whale or a seahorse, or to board a lifeboat or pilot the Nautilus submarine. Another special feature: it runs without fuel or electricity, only powered by elbow grease. A large crank sets it in motion, and the audience is of course invited to take part.
