You remember Pauline… yes, you do, the young architect who was working on the plans for the Forum chapel! Well, you’ll find her at the start of this tour. She’s been following your progress and your discoveries since ‘Le Carnet de Marcel’ and ‘Disparition à la Mine’. So she’s joining you for this third stage of the adventure.
Pauline has got her hands on the testimony of a certain…Hypatia of Alexandria, contemporary of Phidias (circa 350-415), a mythical figure of ancient philosophy. An astronomer and mathematician, she was the first to follow in the footsteps of our famous Master of the Golden Number! She invites us to follow her directions.
Visitors are invited to follow the milestones on a celestial journey from planet to planet through the Solar System!
So keep your eyes peeled and keep observing!

‘Voyage céleste avec Hypatie’ is the 3rd stage in the Adventure of the Master of the Golden Number, following “Le Carnel de Marcel” (1) from Flaine and “La Disparition à la Mine” (2) from Les Carroz.

The Celestial Journey with Hypatia is a half-day walk, with the option of a picnic or snack break. Allow around 3 to 3? hours, including the time spent at each stage of the game.

Don't forget to pack for the hike: good shoes, water, sun cream, snacks and sun protection.

The hike is a one-way trip. Once you've finished, you can take the free shuttle buses between the resorts of Flaine and Les Carroz.

How to find us

To obtain the ‘Voyage céleste avec Hypatie’ kit, you must first go to the Flaine Tourist Office. It is also available from the Les Carroz Tourist Office.

The Flaine Tourist Office is located in the Galerie Marchande of Flaine Forum, on the ground floor.

From Flaine Forêt, you can get there on foot using the orange inclined lifts. From lift 1, enter the building on your left and go down the stairs. From lift No. 2, walk along the road on your left and enter the building on the doctor's surgery car park.

Coming by car? Head straight for car park P2, just before the entrance to Flaine Forum. Then cross the road on foot and follow it to the doctor's surgery car park. Finally, go under the building in front of you.

From here, the themed trail begins at the ‘Hameau de Flaine’, Flaine Les Gérats.
